1 Kings 17. Living these days is not being far from easy: econónimo growing shortages, labor, safety, health. Several things have broken down, agriculture, economic stability, family welfare and among the most concern, has come down the faith of some. Things are not so coincidentally, there is something or someone who has done evil "rulers like Ahab? very likely "Wives and Jezebel? too.

Elijah, a prophet of God is living "in the drought of the land" and see clearly how it affected him personally when "the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land" (v. 7). To make matters worse, paradoxically there are people who "have been rained on wet", I mean the woman who was widowed Sarepta, obviously the situation worsened their poverty to the point of falling into the despair of "eat what you have in that time then let it die with his son "(v.12). To make matters worse, even with the fresh memory of her husband's death, his son falls seriously ill and at the precarious situation, misfortune touches back to the door, your child dies. (V.17). This makes us think that we are abandoned to our fate and Divine help never comes, that prayers are never answered, and the drought has come to come to our heart, we die of hunger and spiritual thirst.

Always obtain timely assistance ... wait, I feel you're reading too fast, I must tell you again: Always obtain timely assistance. Need to be more realistic right? ok, what I say is always get the timely help and will come in the way unless you're waiting, at the time that less thought: In this chapter, the help came from crows (v.5-6), a widow poor just have to eat, but has faith in its shortage, God will make available food (v.10-16), or may come from a servant of God no money in their pockets, but full of clamor his heart (v.20-22). The drought is not over, but the chapter has a happy ending: There's food at home, a servant of God that helps, and a son that rather than being healed, resurrected. The widow proved the truth of the Word of God (v.16, 24). The check you also have faith.

No matter how severe the drought you're going, how much you have suffered or be suffering. It takes time to think "let you die" emotionally, spiritually, economically. Do not despair, God's presence inhale and exhale your worries in prayer. Help is always at the right time comes. God knows when to intervene, and believe me, will in due course. In case you forgot already what I'm saying, remember, you always get timely help from God.
