WHEN ARE OUR BELOVED CAPTIVE
1 Samuel 30
A biblical story caught my eye this morning in 1Samuel Chapter 30. After David managed to escape again and again asérrima persecution of Saul, the circumstances as they have put him "in the ranks of the enemy" (1Sam.29.3) something that my taste is not acceptable "David among the Philistines preparing to go to fight against Israel? who would say ... After it was rejected by David Philistine are back to where their loved ones, this is Ziklag. To his surprise, to "go home" is a terrible reality: "The city is in flames and their loved ones have been kidnapped" by the Amalekites Can you imagine going back to your house and find your house on fire and also know that your wife has been kidnapped? The reaction of David and his men of war was less than what we have done: "They raised their voices and wept, until they had no strength to mourn" (vr.4). Maybe some can identify with David: Coming from a non-ideal circumstances, "rowed between those who are not of God's people" and to return home, it is "on fire", which was destroyed by the enemy. ! Our loved ones have been taken captive!. But the story has a happy ending, because David did not remain arms crossed, breathe deeply and be stopped crying, was strengthened in God and was armed with his sword and then value, receiving God's confirmation of the success of that effort to free the captives (v. 8). God gave him a "key contact" on the road (vr.11-16) and David rescued his two wives "(v.18). Finally recovered their property (v.20), recovered to its people, defeated the enemy and would soon receive the news that the man who made life difficult (Saul) had taken his own life (1Sam.31.4).
We must realize that in many cases are our loved ones who have been taken captive by the devil, and we have the sword is the Word of God, the gospel of salvation. ! Take the message! ! Take courage! and hopefully no more, go after them in prayer and supplication, wiped my tears and ask God for that success.
What are we doing today to bring salvation to our loved ones?
"We will do what you say ..."
There are two phrases in the first chapter of Genesis that have been engraved in our hearts: "And God said ..." "... and it was so." From the above we see the creation of God was doing His will on earth as the sky. Arriving in Genesis 1:28 we recognize that God speaks to us saying: "And God blessed them and said be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth ..." and clearly understand that this is The Great Commission, to which we responded "SAY WHAT YOU WILL DO ..."
Understand blessed by God, be ready to bear fruit, multiply and replenish the earth, is more than church activities, is a personal lifestyle of anyone who has understood that exists to glorify God. We encourage you to be sensitive to God's call makes it through the leadership of the church and answer every time: "I will do what you say ..."
